MTB SKILLS CAMP REQUIREMENTS
ABILITY
This is not a beginner mountain bike course. You will have the most fun if you are able to comfortably ride on easy trails. We will be riding more technical natural trails that push your skills and allow you to advance your technique. The most difficult trails are a minimum of S2. Depending on the mountain bike skills of the camp participants, we could ride more difficult singletrack. Information on the rating scale.
FITNESS
We will be earning some of our vertical, so climbing fitness is required. The climbs will be mostly on non-technical forest roads and not steep. Expect between 400 and 800 meters of climbing per day. The guides at Bike Austria reserve the right to exclude participants without sufficient fitness. This ensures the enjoyment of all participants.
EQUIPMENT
Although hardtail bikes are adequate, a full suspension bike with at least 120 mm of travel adds a margin of safety in tricky spots. But don’t worry, you will be spotted and assisted through any sections that you you are unsure about. Good tires (2.35? profile, puncture protection), helmet, knee and elbow protectors, protector backpack, long gloves, rainwear, … Just ask if you’re not sure!
