Gravel Bike Tours in the Austrian Alps

The Kitzbühel Alps and Hohe Tauern National Park are a cycling paradise. This terrain has been featured in Giro d’ Italia stages, served as course fodder for World Championship and World Cup events, and punishes riders yearly with Trans-Alp stages. Sure—there’s beautiful asphalt riding here. Heard of the Grossglockner High Alpine road? It’s stunning. But when the asphalt ends, the fun really begins. The forest roads here are truly endless, boasting light singletrack and perfect gravel. With us, you’ll climb mountain passes, refuel at charming mountain huts and enjoy sweeping vistas of Austria’s tallest peaks and jagged glaciers. Don’t worry– the thousands of meters of climbing and descending will have you grinning in pain and yodeling for joy.

We offer two great styles of camps, based on your needs.

You and your friends will settle in at the wonderfully furnished Alphotel Mittersill—our gravel headquarters. We’ll spend the week riding the best gravel in Zillertal, Pinzgau, the Kitzbühel Alps, Saalbach, Leogang, all while enjoying Austrian hospitality and stunning views of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Want the true Alpine experience? Then it’s time to go hut-to-hut. Think stunning, high-alpine ridge riding with views of glaciated Alps and jagged Dolomites. And when it’s time to recharge, enjoy delicious Austrian cuisine at authentic alpine huts and bike hotels.
